Kagawa Prefectural Government Building(1)
Kenzo Tange | Gentle Moments in the Kagawa Prefectural Government Building 🌿🌟 I stayed in Takamatsu for the Setouchi Triennale island-hopping tour. 🌸🌺I didn't know much about this city before arriving, but once I got here, I discovered it's home to not only two works by Kenzo Tange but also where Isamu Noguchi once lived. So, I took some time out of my island journey to visit. When the taxi arrived, the sky was already overcast, and the streets were nearly deserted. 🌿🌟 At first glance, the facade along the street still gave off that cold, oppressive feel typical of concrete buildings. 🌸🌺But upon entering through the front courtyard, I unexpectedly found some warm moments and cute little details. The structure and facade of the prefectural building are very clear and assertive, but the courtyard design—like the flow of water, the gentle slopes, and the placement of stones—brings a sense of movement that softens the building's sternness. #Takamatsu 🌿🌟 🌸🌺 #Architecture #KenzoTange #TakamatsuMoments 🌇
