Kamo River๐๐ฟ
โค The Kamogawa River (also written as Kamo River) is sometimes referred to as the Higashiyama River or Kamo River, which has a deep connection to the ancient Japanese Kamo clan whose territory it flows through. ๐๐ฟThe Kamogawa River runs from north to south through Kyoto, merging with other waterways in the city such as the Katsura River, Biwako Sosui, and Kamo River, before flowing into Osaka. โ ๏ธ The section of the Kamogawa River between Sanjo and Gojo in Kyoto is the most bustling part of the entire river. On the east side lies Gion, the heart of Kyoto's traditional arts and entertainment. The Shijo Bridge, which spans the river, is the main gateway to the Gion district. ๐๐ฟ This stretch of the river is also a popular spot for locals to cool off during the summer. ๐ โค Every summer, over a hundred shops along the river set up wooden platforms on the west side of the river, known as the Misogi River, where people can dine while enjoying the beautiful views of the Kamogawa River. ๐ธ #Kyoto ๐๐ฟ
