Kanazawa Castle: The Samurai Town of Hokuriku π°
Kanazawa, a samurai society in Japanese history, thrived during the Edo period. ππ’ Fortunately, Kanazawa has not experienced the ravages of war for 400 years, and to this day, it still perfectly preserves the ancient architecture and street scenes from the Edo period. In the alleys with ochre-colored earthen walls and cobblestone paths, many old houses from the era stand side by side. ππΈ Due to the clear class differences in the old samurai society, the height of the eaves represented the samurai's rank. π In February, I didn't expect to encounter heavy snowfall in Kanazawa. ππ’ The streets were still covered in pure white snow, and the surroundings looked like a series of flawless paintings. With my family and friends, we strolled along the Asano River. There were few people around, and the quiet was so peaceful and delightful. ππΈ We enjoyed the gentle sound of the flowing river, which was one of my favorite moments... I look forward to revisiting this beauty in the spring and autumn. πΈ πΊπ #ChasingNorthernSnow π¨οΈ #WinterTravelBucketList π¨οΈ
