I found a hidden gem in Kandy that no bloggers have talked about ❗️❗️❗️​ 📍 It’s right next to the popular cafe 1886. Our group all agreed that this place is even tastier than cafe 1886 💗😘​ In the heart of Sri Lanka lies a small city embraced by mountains and waters—Kandy. As the country’s cultural capital, it’s more than just a destination; it’s a living tapestry of history and nature. Here, you’ll find the sacred Temple of the Sacred Tooth Relic, the serene Kandy Lake, and the lush Royal Botanical Gardens. Every step feels like wandering into a painting where the past and present dance in harmony😘 If you’re a plant lover like me, this place will steal your heart 🌱. One of Asia’s finest botanical gardens, it’s a treasure trove of over 4,000 species. Wander through avenues of towering palm trees, marvel at orchids in every shade of pink and purple, and stand beneath ancient trees that have witnessed centuries. The highlight? The “Memorial Trees” planted by global leaders, including’s Premier Zhou Enlai. Allocate 2-3 hours to explore—every corner is a photo opportunity, from vibrant flower beds to serene lily ponds 📸. 🙌🏻 Hot butter mushroom: The fried mushrooms are bursting with flavor in every bite, perfect with rice. However, the fried taste overshadows the mushroom flavor, and it can get a bit greasy if you eat too much.​ 🙌🏻 Devilied chicken rice: The chicken is super fragrant, fried to a satisfying crunch. The meal has a good balance of meat and vegetables, making it very enjoyable.​ 🙌🏻 BBQ hotdog: Their fries 🍟 are perfectly crispy 🤤, but the hotdog is a little salty.​ 🙌🏻 Paratha: A crispy flatbread that tastes a bit like fried dough sticks. It’s slightly oily but very fragrant 😌.​ 🙌🏻 Chicken biriyani: A fragrant Indian rice dish, served with a sauce that tastes like diluted black pepper sauce. My friend thought it was a bit salty.​ 🙌🏻 We also ordered BBQ chicken. It was really salty and should probably be eaten with boiled vegetables, plus fries 🍟. This dish was just okay in my opinion.​ Overall, the food here is really delicious. It might be a bit salty for some, but it was just right for me 🥹🥹🥹​ The bill is at the end.
