Kansas City, MO | One-Day/Two-Day Itinerary
Although Kansas City spans two states, most tourist attractions are concentrated in Missouri (MO), so the title specifies MO. ๐ Union Station After exiting the station, just cross the street to reach the following within walking distance: ๐ National WWI Museum and Memorial Ticket: $22 (includes Special Exhibition). The museum is compact and can be explored in 1-2 hours. ๐ Money Museum Nearby Attractions: ๐ LEGOLAND Discovery Center and Sea Life ๐ Crown Center ๐ Boulevard Brewing Company Brewery Tour Ticket: $11 per person, includes 4 free beers. The tour lasts about 1 hour. Slightly Farther Attractions: ๐ The Nelson-Atkins Museum of Art Closed on Wednesdays and Thursdays. Free admission. This is arguably KCโs most worthwhile museum to visitโallow about 3 hours. ๐ The National Museum of Toys and Miniatures Student ticket: $10, general adult ticket: $10. An adorable museum showcasing dollhouses and miniatures. Visit time: 1-2 hours. As for Kansas City BBQ, itโs a point of local pride. This time, I tried Jack Stack Barbecue. The onion rings were delicious, but the BBQ itself was just okay. The highly praised lamb ribs were tender but still had a distinct gaminess. The burnt ends were excellent, but the ribs were average. Maybe Iโll try other recommended BBQ spots next time! PS: Recently, KC is under construction everywhere, with many sidewalks closed. Detours are common if following Google Maps! #OneDayTrip #TravelDiary #KansasCity #StudyInUSA #Travel
