Kansas Cityβs Book Wall Parking + Historic Bank Vault! ππͺ
I saw photos of Kansas Cityβs famous book parking lot online and knew I had to see it in person! But β plot twist β there are SO many libraries here with similar names, I ended up at the Kansas City Public Library first π Still, the circular book sculpture at the entrance was pretty cool β made of real books, fixed in place! πβοΈ π§βπ« Key Tip! The iconic book spine wall is actually at the Central Library! You can navigate directly to: Community Bookshelf & Library Parking Fall/Winter would be perfect for a full view, but in summer, the trees partly hide it π³π So exciting to spot the Tao Te Ching right there β felt proud for a sec! π¨π³π― ποΈ First National Bank of Kansas City (now a Catholic center β so cool!) Display of the original $50 commemorative coin from the bank. πΈ Image 12 shows the basement of Central Library β it used to be the original gold vault of the First National Bank! Later turned into a cinema ποΈ, now used for special film screenings. And guess what? I spotted classic Hong Kong films there β starring Jackie Chan, Maggie Cheung, Tony Leung, Chow Yun-fat, and Louis Koo! When it comes to cultural exchange, old-school Hong Kong cinema truly led the way π¬β¨ #ExploreUrbanHistory #HiddenCitySpots #BookLoversGuide #KansasCity #Kansas #ParkingLotPhotos #PublicLibrary #AmericanEagle #GoldVault #HongKongCinema
