Kansas City | Surprisingly Delighted!
My first time in Kansas City — and I just learned that this city spans both Kansas (KS) and Missouri (MO), so I’m counting this as visiting my 27th and 28th states! Most must-see spots are on the MO side, so saving those for tomorrow. 📍 Thai Place 🍃 Ambience: Located in an area packed with Asian restaurants, this one came highly recommended by locals. Awards covered the walls right at the entrance — you know it’s legit! 🧸 Kow Lhad Nha Grapow (Pad Krapow) ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ I ordered the extra spicy version 🌶️🔥 — gotta embrace the heat, right? The herb flavor wasn’t overly complex, but it was incredibly tasty and satisfying! 🧸 Tom Yum Soup ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Also went for the spiciest level. The broth was light (not too thick), and the spices were balanced — not too overpowering. 🧸 Grilled Beef ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Sweet and tangy sauce with tender beef — well-executed! 🧸 Fried Dumplings ⭐⭐⭐ Clearly designed for the American palate — stuffed with cheese 🧀… a bit rich and heavy for my taste. 🐙 Verdict: Highly recommend! Perfect place to warm up with some spice now that the weather’s getting colder 🌝❄️ Fun fact: Pad Krapow (aka Thai basil stir-fry) is one of Thailand’s most popular street foods — and it’s even better with a runny fried egg on top! 🍳 #100PlacesToTry #KansasCity #KCFood #KansasCityEats #Kansas #Foodie #USFood #AmericanEats #SpicyFoodLover #ThaiFood
