📍 Kassel: A UNESCO World Heritage Site with Travel Tips 🏞️✨
If I didn’t have a friend studying in Kassel, I might never have discovered this city. There’s a saying online: "Kassel is the most famous least-known city." And I think that’s pretty accurate! Still, it’s totally worth a visit. I’ve seen lots of beautiful photos of Wilhelmshöhe Park on social media, but hardly any detailed travel guides. So while it’s still fresh in my memory — here’s mine! 📝 1️⃣ It’s more convenient to travel from Wilhelmshöhe Hof than Kassel Hauptbahnhof. We took the RE (Regional Express) directly to Wilhelmshöhe Hof, then transferred from Tram 4 to Bus 22. 🚋➡️🚌 2️⃣ Download the local public transport app — NVV. Google Maps doesn’t show all routes. The bus line to Wilhelmshöhe is available there. 📲 3️⃣ The fountain and waterfall show takes place every Wednesday, Sunday, and public holidays from May 1 to October 3. Check the official website for detailed timing and updates. 💦📅 4️⃣ Recommended route: Start from point 1 and go through point 6. We also stopped at Löwenburg Castle 🏰 along the way. 5️⃣ We bought a combo ticket at the visitor center — only €6! Student discounts available. The ticket covers 3 attractions. Super worth it! 🎟️💶 6️⃣ We started from the Hercules Monument, enjoyed the panoramic view from the top 🏔️👀, then waited for the fountains to start at 2:30 PM. We walked downhill from there — much easier than climbing up! 👟⬇️ A full half-day is ideal for this trip. #WilhelmshohePark #Kassel #KasselTravel #KasselGuide #UNESCO #WorldHeritage
