Kaya | Authentic Korean Food in Greensboro

I passed by Greensboro on my way back from a trip and stopped by this Korean restaurant on a whim. Little did I know I’d stumble upon a hidden gem—Kaya’s food hit the spot perfectly, and every dish was so satisfying that it didn’t feel like a “random stopover meal” at all!😋😋😋 Must-Try Signatures! Authentic Korean Flavors in Every Bite Beef Bone Soup: The absolute first thing to order! 🥘 As soon as it was served, I was impressed by its milky white broth. Take a sip while it’s hot, and the rich aroma of beef bones fills your mouth instantly—no fishy taste at all, just a deep, hearty flavor. The beef inside is stewed until it falls off the bone; a gentle pinch with chopsticks and it shreds easily, even the tendons are soft and glutinous. Pair it with rice, and every bite of meat with a slurp of soup warms you up from the stomach—so comforting!😋😋 Korean-style Sweet and Sour Pork (Potato Pork): I thought it would be similar to Chinese sweet and sour pork, but it won me over right after the first bite! 🍖 The outer coating is thinner and crispier than the Chinese version—every bite makes a “crunch” sound, and it’s not greasy at all. The most unique part is the sauce: the sweet-sour base is mixed with pineapple, wood ear mushrooms, onions, and bell peppers. The pineapple’s fruity aroma cuts through the sweetness, and the crunchy veggies add texture. Every piece of pork is coated in sauce—sweet, sour, and appetizing, with more layers than I expected~😋😋 Chongqing Chicken (Spicy Dry-Fried Chicken): A must for spice lovers! 🌶️ The chicken pieces are crispy on the outside and tender on the inside, fully infused with the aroma of chili. The spiciness is moderate, and it gets more flavorful the more you chew—you’ll even want to eat the chili peppers! Sesame seeds and peanuts are also added, bringing a nutty fragrance. Pop one in your mouth at a time—perfect with a beer~😋😋😋 Sweet Little Touches! Thoughtful and Heartwarming The biggest surprise was that the staff (I heard it’s the owner) speaks Chinese, making communication super smooth! Knowing we were “passing customers” who found the restaurant through Xiaohongshu, they even made the Chongqing Chicken less spicy to avoid overwhelming us—so thoughtful~👍 The owner said some dishes on the menu are temporarily unavailable, but if the ingredients are in stock, you can still order them even if they’re not listed—totally catering to “eating whatever you crave”!😋😋 The side dishes also deserve a shoutout! 🥢 Three kinds of banchan—zucchini, shredded potatoes, and broccoli—are fresh, crispy, and refreshing, cutting through greasiness perfectly. They’re free to refill after you finish, and pair great with the main dishes to balance out richness—small details that make a big difference~😋😋😋 Save the Address! Don’t Miss It Next Time You Pass By 📍3925 Sedgebrook St 113, High Point, NC 27265Whether you come specifically for it or stop by on your way back, this Korean restaurant is totally worth a try—no misses at all! #KoreanFood #NCFood
