A Christmas Day of Fun in High Point & Greensboro
We started our day from Greensboro, and our first stop was the World’s Largest Chest of Drawers—such a quirky and fun landmark! 🪑 After checking that out, we headed to Quarry Park (photos included! 📸). On our way leaving the area near the giant chest of drawers, we passed by High Point University (HPU). We couldn’t help but stop when we saw the entrance and campus roads lined with adorable nutcrackers—they looked so festive, and we instantly wanted to drive in and take a closer look! 🎄 The security guard told us that visitors could only drive onto the campus after 3 PM, and we’d have to stay in the car (no getting out). So we decided to visit Quarry Park first and come back to HPU later. HPU is a private university, and its campus is huge—plus, the Christmas decorations were absolutely stunning! Even without the holiday decor, the campus looks so fancy that it gives off major "only wealthy people can afford to study here" vibes. 😂 After leaving HPU, we made our way to Lebauer Park in downtown Greensboro. But it was super cold today ❄️—other than a row of Christmas trees that looked like they were "competing" (each decorated so nicely!), there wasn’t much special scenery to see. Surprisingly, the highlight turned out to be the nearby commercial street! The shops on both sides are really unique and charming 🛍️. We’re planning to come back in the next two days once all the shops are open again after their holiday breaks!
