KC Eats | Historic Dining at Union Station 🚂

I recently visited Pierpont’s at Union Station – and wow, what an experience! 🏛️ Located inside Kansas City’s iconic Union Station, this restaurant blends early-20th-century grandeur with modern comfort. The building itself was once one of the busiest rail hubs in the Midwest, and today it stands as a beautifully preserved landmark. Dining here feels both elegant and nostalgic! We started with drinks and appetizers: 🍹 Pink Pony Club – A fruity cocktail with a strong smoky twist. Really unique! 🦪 Chesapeake Crab Cakes – Simple but tasty, especially with the tangy lemon aioli. 🦪 Baked Oysters Pierpont’s – So tender and creamy, topped with bacon and breadcrumbs with a hint of spice. Then came the soup: 🥘 Blue Crab & Sweet Corn Bisque – Absolutely loved this! The balance of savory crab and sweet corn was perfect, and the texture was rich and smooth. For the main course: 🥩 Ribeye, Certified Hereford Beef – A huge, perfectly cooked steak. A bit fatty, but full of flavor. Our server even came by to freshly crack black pepper over it! You can choose from sides like mashed potatoes, asparagus, mushrooms, or fries. 🥩 New Zealand Lamb Chops – Tender with a distinct lamb taste, cooked just right, and served with a zesty spicy sauce. The service was attentive and added to the refined yet warm atmosphere. Pricing ranges around $50–$100 per person – totally worth it for the quality and setting. 📍Address: 30 W Pershing Rd, Kansas City, MO 64108 #KansasCity #Missouri #KCEats #HistoricDining #FoodTravel #FineDining #UnionStationKC
