Kelowna’s Underrated Must-Try Eats (No Ads!)
While there are plenty of Kelowna food guides out there, I visited during Canada Day when some spots were closed—which led me to stumble upon some real hidden gems! We drove from Vancouver to Kelowna, stopping in Hope for lunch: 🍤 Owl Cafe, Hope This cozy spot is decked out in owl-themed decor 🦉 and run by sweet grandmothers. It’s a true family-style diner. We ordered: Burger: Juicy, flavorful patty with a rich meaty sauce. Garlic Shrimp: Tangy, garlicky, and super appetizing! 🍝 Fixx Cafe & Pasta Bar, Kelowna After arriving in Kelowna, we picked this casual Italian spot near our stay. Pasta: Standard, nothing special. Lamb Shank: SO GOOD—tender, fall-off-the-bone meat, and even the gnocchi soaked up the delicious sauce. We took leftovers home, and they tasted even better the next day! 🍦 Parlour Ice Cream The next morning, we walked around Kelowna City Park but got too hot—so we cooled off with lavender ice cream from this trendy shop. Refreshing and floral, it was the perfect treat! 🥩🍷 Cedar Creek Winery Restaurant A can’t-miss Kelowna experience! The food here was unbelievably good—honestly better than many $$$ Vancouver fine-dining spots. Must reserve ahead! Stunning views, impeccable service, and next-level flavors. 🍷 Mission Hill Winery On our last day, we did a wine tasting. Even though we’re not wine experts, the staff was super friendly and even gave us an extra pour not on our tasting list! Final Thoughts: Not all of these are ultra-hidden, but they’re less hyped yet consistently delicious—with great service to match. Fewer crowds, fewer disappointments! 📍 Spots Mentioned: Owl Cafe (Hope) Fixx Cafe & Pasta Bar (Kelowna) Parlour Ice Cream (Kelowna) Cedar Creek Winery (Kelowna) Mission Hill Winery (Kelowna) #KelownaEats #WineryExperience #VancouverRoadTrip #HiddenGems #NoRegretsDining
