🚂 Kennebunk, Maine: Railbike Adventure & Hidden Gem Museum!

We planned a quick stop in this charming Maine town but ended up on a 3.5-hour railbike journey—totally disrupting our itinerary, but the kids loved it! 😄 🏁 Seashore Trolley Museum: 📍 195 Log Cabin Road, Kennebunkport, ME World’s first & largest trolley museum 🚎—a paradise for train enthusiasts! Two massive warehouses + outdoor exhibits with historic trolleys (you can board most!). My favorite: A vintage sightseeing trolley that would’ve been so stylish back in the day! 🚲 Railbike Experience: $60/2-seater | $100/4-seater (includes museum admission). We chose the 4-seater—dad controlled brakes + pedaling, kiddo “helped” upfront 😉. Leisurely 1-hour round trip (scenery is meh in summer, but fall foliage would be gorgeous!). Verdict: Fun for the experience, not the views! 🏖️ Goose Rocks Beach: Headed here after the museum (~4 PM). Warm water + super soft sand 🏝️—perfect for kids! Parking is pricey—get a permit if street parking. 🍦 Kennebunk Town Vibe: Main Street is packed with eateries + bustling ice cream shops 🍦. Most visitors come for coastal views/food, but we prioritized kid-friendly fun! #BostonKids #MaineTravel #HiddenGems #RailbikeAdventure #FamilyTravel
