Kingston Foodie | Authentic Italian at Casa Domenico 🇮🇹

Located right by the downtown square, this genuine Italian restaurant boasts a great ambiance and is a favorite among locals. Every dish we tried was absolutely delicious—zero disappointments! Highlights: ▪️ BRUSCHETTA ($18) Toasted focaccia topped with roasted cherry tomatoes, basil, garlic, and balsamic glaze. We swapped the goat cheese for Parmesan—pure perfection! The burst of sweetness from the roasted tomatoes paired with the rich balsamic was heavenly. ▪️ CARPACCIO DI MANZO ($18) ⭐ MUST-TRY! Thinly sliced raw beef drizzled with olive oil, served with arugula, Parmesan, and red wine vinegar dressing. Even if you're hesitant about raw beef, this dish will win you over—no "raw" taste at all, especially when paired with their fresh bread. ▪️ CALAMARI SICILIANA ($17) Tender squid rings 🦑 with olives, arugula, and chili. Unbelievably soft and flavorful—no rubbery texture here! Pro tip: Layer it with the crispy bread for an extra crunch. ▪️ MERLUZZO ($38) 🔥 HIGHLY RECOMMENDED! Grilled cod 🐟 with a rich, creamy sauce (hint of spice and lemon), served over spinach and sweet potato. The fish was perfectly flaky, and even the spinach had the ideal texture—cooked but not mushy. ▪️ TIRAMISU ($10) 💖 BEST EVER! How can you visit an Italian restaurant without trying tiramisu? This one was life-changing—perfectly soaked ladyfingers, layered with bitter cocoa and sweet mascarpone, all balanced by strong espresso notes. Hands down the BEST tiramisu we've ever had (and only $10?! A steal!). 📍 Casa Domenico #StudyInCanada #Foodie #DateNightSpot #ItalianCuisine #Kingston #QueensUniversity #Tiramisu
