Ktown|Hanu Korean BBQ – A Total Letdown 😞🔥
I randomly picked this BBQ spot after seeing bloggers rave about it—calling it "the best ever" and "their #1 favorite." Well… I ended up stepping on a major landmine. 💣 First, I ordered the $169.99 set with four types of marinated meat: • Boneless short rib • Outside skirt • Sliced brisket • Ribeye steak The set came with $40 worth of free side dishes: hot pot bulgogi, steamed egg, soybean soup, corn cheese, beef pancakes, and kimchi fried rice. I thought we could have leftovers for lunch tomorrow, so even though there were only two of us, we went for it. 🔥 What went wrong: • The hot pot bulgogi was unbearably sweet—like they dumped a whole bag of sugar in it. Couldn’t take a second bite. • The only passable meat was the cheapest sliced brisket. The rest were either bland, tough, or had a weird smell. • The boneless short rib was a huge disappointment—barely marinated, dry, and chewy. • The kimchi fried rice was only spicy, not flavorful—and when I flipped it, the bottom was completely burnt! 🙄🙄 💁 Service issues: The Korean server grilled for us but looked totally unwilling. He only told us when the first meat was ready—for the next three, we had to guess when to eat. 💰 Payment surprise: The bill defaulted to credit card payment and automatically added a 3.5% fee! This was honestly the worst Korean BBQ I’ve had in over 20 years living in the U.S. I don’t get all the positive reviews online—maybe I just had really bad luck?
