Kyoto | Kitayama Willow & Shimogamo Shrine (1) πΏ
π’πI originally didn't plan to visit Kyoto, but since it coincided with the Gozan no Okuribi (Five Mountain Fire Festival), I headed straight to Kyoto from Koshien. πΈBecause time was limited, I decided to just see the "big" character fire at Kitayama Willow. ππΏIt had been a while since I last visited. It was just around dusk, and I saw the most beautiful sunset! Unlike the bustling area around Kawaramachi, the Kamogawa River near Kitayama Willow feels more pristine and has fewer people. π’π Walking down to Shimogamo Shrine along the river from the Keihan Line was so soothing!! I also saw the beautiful Tyndall effect and the stunning sunset! It was so comfortable! πΈThen Shimogamo Shrine closed. The antique book market at the entrance also closed. But I had been there before, so I looked at some old photos to reminisce. I was really into "The Tatami Galaxy" for a while, so I specifically went there to visit. ππΏ The shrine also has fortune papers printed on water like Kifune Shrine, and they recently released some limited-edition omamori (protective amulets) that are very beautiful!!! #Kyoto πΏ
