🐠🐬🐋 Kyoto Aquarium, Japan 🐋🐳🐟
✨ Kyoto Aquarium is a large inland aquarium in Japan, divided into 9 exhibition halls, with as many as 250 varieties of marine animals. The most famous is the Japanese giant salamander, which can grow up to 2 meters long! ‼️ 🚌 Transportation: ➡️ From Kyoto Station, take bus route 207 to Shichijo Oomiya · Kyoto Aquarium-mae. After getting off, walk towards the back of the bus, turn right at the intersection, and you'll see the "FamilyMart" supermarket. The aquarium is just a 5-minute walk away. ➡️ Alternatively, from JR Meijō-Kyōto West, it's a 1km walk. 🎫 Admission: Adults: 2400 yen, Children: 1200 yen (I'm not sure how to type the yen symbol 😝 Can anyone teach me how to do it?) You can purchase tickets at the self-service machines on site. The aquarium is spread over 2 floors. Make sure to pick up a guidebook upon entering, which will show you the performance times of the marine animals, so don't miss out. ✅ First Floor: Mainly features the Japanese giant salamander, scientifically known as a giant newt. Outdoors, you can also see sea lions and seals lazily basking in the sun, which is quite enviable for office workers. ✅ Second Floor: The most spectacular area is the jellyfish zone, where a variety of jellyfish look incredibly vibrant under the lights. There's also a jellyfish laboratory, presumably for breeding jellyfish. The cutest part is the penguin area; their adorable antics will keep you there for a long time, and it's hard for adults to tear themselves away. ✅ Outdoors on the Second Floor: The dolphin 🐬 performance area. You don't need to understand the commentator because you won't understand them anyway; just enjoy the show. PS: Sitting in the 1️⃣st row will definitely get you wet, completely soaked ‼️ 🍽️ Dining: There is a dining area near the seal section where you can get hot dogs and drinks to replenish your energy. The shaved ice is great 🍦, tasty and affordable, only 390 yen (still can't type the yen symbol). ⌚️ Overall Experience: It takes about 2 hours to go through the entire aquarium, but you could bring some food and spend half a day there. ✅ Impressions: Most visitors are locals, so it doesn't feel crowded. It's not like a popular tourist spot where you feel cramped and uneasy; it's suitable for a leisurely stroll with kids. 🏕️ Additional Attractions: You can also visit Meijō-Kyōto Park and the Kyoto Railway Museum while you're here. Note that the Railway Museum is closed on Wednesdays. Meijō-Kyōto Park is a great place for kids, and you won't hear a word of Chinese there. #HealingJellyfish #TravelTips #Trip #KyotoAquarium🐬 #BodyAndSoulOnTheRoad #WannaCaptureThisMoment #ThisTemplateIsSomething
