Kyoto One-Day Cycling Route Without Tired Feet (2)
If you see a red "no entry" sign โ๏ธ on the road but it says (except bicycles) below, you can still ride through. ๐ดโโ๏ธ ๐ ฟ๏ธ Bicycle Parking Lots are divided into three types: Red lots charge 200 yen (these include several large paid parking lots for major attractions, and you can park there all day. When you pay for the first time, the attendant will give you a stamped paper with notes on where you can park). ๐ข๐ Green lots are private and require separate payment, but we didn't encounter any. Blue lots are free. ๐ Parking Spots Along the Route: Kamogawa River: You can park by the river and sit for a while. ๐ ๐๐บShimogamo Shrine: There's a bicycle parking lot inside. If you see a no-parking sign at the entrance, don't worryโjust ride in a bit further and you'll find it. Near Ginkaku-ji: There's a paid parking lot next to the Philosopher's Path, where even tour buses park. ๐ข๐ Ride in boldly and you'll find a designated area right at the entrance. Eikando: Ride along the Philosopher's Path from here and you'll reach Eikando. There's a free parking spot in front of Nomura Museum, just a little before Eikando. ๐๐บ Nanzanji: There's a free parking spot at the main entrance, and you can ride back to Shijo from here after your visit. Apart from the slightly chaotic cyclists near Gojo, the route to the attractions is quite beautiful. ๐๐ฟ #KyotoTravel #KyotoCycling #JapanCycling ๐ดโโ๏ธ๐
