#KyotoGuestHouse #KyotoTravel πΈ The Kyoto State Guest House began to open to the public in 2005. It covers an area of 20,140 square meters, with a building area of 8,000 square meters and a total floor area of 16,000 square meters. π° Like Tokyo's Akasaka Palace, it is responsible for hosting state guests. The guest house is mainly divided into one main gate, one garden, and four halls. πΏ The front entrance hall is made from a single piece of 700-year-old elm wood. π³ The Twilight Hall is used for receiving important political meetings and ceremonial tea ceremonies. π΅ The Paulownia Hall is for enjoying Japanese cuisine while watching Kabuki performances. π The Pleasure Hall is designated for the rest of the entourages of dignitaries. π The Wisteria Hall is used for hosting grand banquets. π₯© In each of these halls, every detail is an ultimate display of Japanese traditional culture and craftsmanship, featuring elements like the "5-7 Paulownia pattern," "patchwork weaving," and "Kyoto joinery." πΊ It is definitely worth visiting to appreciate these exquisite details. π Note: Reservations are required one day in advance. The guest house is closed on Mondays. Children below junior high school age are not allowed to enter. π« The admission fee is 2,000 yen per person. π« There will be a guide to explain the history and significance of the place, and a staff member to ensure you don't touch or take unauthorized photos. πΈ #KyotoGuestHouse #KyotoTravel π
