Eikando Temple: 🌿🌟 Close to Nanzen-ji Temple and near one end of the Philosopher’s Path, Eikando is famous for its high density of red maple leaves. During the Christmas season, you can still see many vibrant red maples, while others have already fallen, carpeting the ground. 🌿🌟 It’s hard to imagine how stunning the scene must be during the peak autumn foliage season. The temple itself is open for visits, and it features a beautiful garden. The temple complex is larger than Ginkaku-ji (the Silver Pavilion), and it takes about 1 to 1.5 hours to tour. 🌿🌟 If you visit in winter, remember to wear thick socks, as you need to remove your shoes to enter the temple halls, and the floors can be very cold. 🍃 Nanzen-ji Temple: Nanzen-ji is a perfect blend of grandeur and elegance. 🌿🌟 It boasts magnificent architecture and several exquisite Japanese gardens, such as the Mu (Mu-ryō-an), Kinkō-in (Golden Ground Temple), and Tenshu-an (Heavenly Bestowal Hermitage) is also nearby. If you’re interested in Japanese gardens, Nanzen-ji is a must-see. 🌿🌟 The duration of your visit will depend on how many gardens you plan to explore, typically ranging from 1 to 2 hours. 🌇 #KyotoTravel #AutumnLeaves #JapaneseGardens 🌿🌟
