Kyung Bok Kung – Upscale Korean BBQ in OC

A Korean restaurant that actually left me satisfied — rare for a weekend visit since I usually stick to weekday lunches like tofu stew or beef bone soup. Went on a friend’s recommendation and was pleasantly surprised!💕😊 They offer A5 Wagyu, but it’s pretty overpriced and honestly too fatty — two bites in and I was already feeling it. Glad we saved it for last. The regular US beef was excellent quality, and the thick-cut beef tongue was a highlight 👌. Unexpected standout: the grilled eel was delicious — crispy and flavorful. Definitely ordering that again next time! The cold noodles were refreshing with thinner noodles than usual — perfect for cutting through the richness of the BBQ.👍😊 Shoutout to our server who grilled everything for us and even suggested we remove two dishes from our order (I initially thought he was doubting our appetite 😅). Turns out each meat order comes with a full spread of banchan — we were already stuffed without those extras. Two people left beyond full! #KoreanBBQ #MyFoodCollection #Yakiniku #HiddenGem #LosAngeles #OCEats #UpscaleKorean
