Every sushi chef really does have their own style. Last time I came, I remember thinking the seasoning was on point โ but this time, both my friend and I kept thinking: โWhereโs the flavor?โ ๐ฃ At first I wondered if my taste buds were off from drinking the night beforeโฆ but honestly, when youโre not paying top-tier prices and the fish โ while varied โ isnโt exceptional, going the ultra-minimalist route can really backfire. The Wagyu and uni we added on felt a bit rushed โ the beef was still chilly inside, though the uni was sweet and fresh as ever. ๐โจ The additional crab mini-course was still delicious, and the temaki was solid. The abalone sashimi was crisp and fresh, but the monkfish liver fell short โ missing that creamy mousse texture and depth, almost like bland jelly.
