🍔 LA’s $80 Fish Sandwich – Honest Review! 💸
This spot’s got a lot of hype… but honestly? It’s pretty average. (Makes you appreciate the Filet-O-Fish a whole lot more 🎣😂) Tucked in a small plaza with no seating — you eat standing at a bar. On the bright side: you feel full faster, and dining in gets you 10% off! 🏃♂️💨 🧾 What We Ordered: 🐟 Hot Cod Sando w/ Astrea Caviar – $80 The fish sandwich alone is $20, but we added caviar for +$60 (total $80 💰). The batter was too thick — to cook the fish through, they over-fried it, making the cod dry and tough. 🌶️ Szechuan Hot Chicken Sando – $16 A giant sandwich with a thick veggie layer and a huge chicken cutlet. The bun couldn’t handle it — eating it felt messy and disconnected. We chose mild, but it was still pretty spicy (maybe they mixed up the order?). 🍗 Tenders Dry and not juicy — just okay. 🍟 Fries Standard fries. Ketchup isn’t provided automatically — you have to ask. Their house sauces leaned salty. 📌 Final Take: The best of the four was the fish sandwich — but skip the caviar (pure gimmick!). The rest were just… meh. Not worth a special trip. Also — for “handcrafted” burgers, the buns are store-bought They cook one order at a time, which slows everything down — even if multiple people order the same thing. #LAEats #LAFood #BurgerReview #OverpricedLA #FoodHype #NotWorthIt #LALife 🍟🚫
