📍 320 Sunset Ave, Venice, CA 90291 So much better than Deru in Seattle!! Similar rustic-industrial vibe, but way more spacious and relaxed. They have a lovely open patio – no car exhaust, just good energy and California sunshine 🌞 Must-orders: 🥕 Carrot Cake ❤️ UNREAL. Not too sweet, packed with pecans, and topped with light cream cheese frosting (not that heavy icing stuff!). Totally Chinese-friendly dessert cake 🍰 🥐 Baklava Croissant Solid and creative – first time trying baklava in croissant form. Flaky, nutty, not overly sweet. ☕️ Salty Iced Mocha ❤️ Well-balanced, not too sweet. Didn’t get strong salt notes, but still very drinkable! 🐮 Smoked Brisket Hash ❤️ Underrated gem! Rich smoky flavor, tangy sauce, perfectly balanced – didn’t feel heavy at all. 🚫 Turkey Sandwich Skip it. Seasoning was okay (hint of rosemary), but overall bland and boring.
