LAโ€™s Best Fine Dining โ€” Somni, the Next Three Michelin Stars ๐ŸŒŸ

Somni recently reopened โ€” super hot, super hard to book! Now they release reservations for the following month on the 3rd of each month via OpenTable. The experience was simply incredible โ€” way above any other Michelin-starred spot in LA. They previously held two stars, and after this visit, I can confidently say their dish design, presentation, and service far surpass other two-star restaurants here. Iโ€™m convinced itโ€™ll become LAโ€™s only three-star restaurant next year. Their head chef previously worked at elBulli in Spain โ€” Iโ€™ve always had a soft spot for Spanish chefs. ๐Ÿ‡ช๐Ÿ‡ธ๐Ÿ™Œ๐Ÿ˜˜ Located in West Hollywood with complimentary valet โ€” a classy touch. Youโ€™re first led into a small courtyard at the entrance, where several amuse-bouches are served. Once everyone finishes, guests are guided into the main dining room one by one.๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ’• Our tasting menu had 15 courses, though they seem to be fine-tuning the dishes โ€” Iโ€™ve seen slight menu variations online. Some earlier reviews mentioned the beef main course wasnโ€™t great, but ours was perfectly tender and cooked just right โ€” likely improved since then. Overall, it was a truly stunning meal. Every dish was beautifully plated โ€” one standout was a tartare covered in tiny flowers, arranged meticulously with tweezers like a delicate experiment. Each course felt thoughtfully designed, though flavors leaned toward the bold side.๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿ˜ Service was exceptionally polished โ€” even the pace of plate placement was synchronized across all tables. My only regret was not getting the pairing. I saw the non-alcoholic pairing at the next table and it looked fantastic โ€” highly recommend adding it!๐Ÿ˜Š๐Ÿ’• After the meal, the chef came out to chat with each table, asking for feedback โ€” a thoughtful personal touch. The tasting menu is $495 per person, but for this level of food and service in LA, itโ€™s absolutely worth it. Iโ€™ll definitely be back for another visit soon. #HiddenGem #LARestaurants #LAMichelin #MichelinDining #SpanishMichelin #LAFoodGuide
