🍶 LA’s Hottest Date Night Spot
Located in Virgil Village, Budonoki has been buzzing since it opened — and for good reason! The vibe is unique, the decor is moody and intimate, and every detail feels thoughtfully designed 😻✨ 🍽️ What We Ordered: 🐟 Yellowtail (Special of the Day) Fresh, beautifully marbled fish, perfectly seared — crispy outside, tender inside. Clean seasoning let the natural sweetness shine through 🧡 🍣 Dragon Roll Rich eel flavor + creamy avocado — a great balance of sweet and savory. (But honestly? The sauce on top was a bit much — we scraped it off and enjoyed it more 😅) 🍢 Chicken Skewer Grilled thigh meat with Tokyo leeks — slightly charred, super juicy, glazed with a savory-sweet sauce 🔥 🥢 Grilled Pork Jowl Crispy outside, tender inside, with a caramelized aroma — though it got a bit heavy toward the end. 🧅 Okonomiyaki Skip it — pretty forgettable and the texture was just okay 😬 🍦 Soft Serve A fun way to end the meal! Even the staff admitted there’s better ice cream nearby — but it’s still tasty (if slightly overpriced). 🎶 Vibes Are Everything Groovy music, dim lighting, and an adorable drink menu 🥃 No wonder Budonoki won Eater LA’s Best New Restaurant 2024 🏆 Flavor, creativity, and experience — all on point! 🫶🏻 📍 Budonoki Virgil Village, Los Angeles #Budonoki #IzakayaLA #DateNightSpot #EaterAwardWinner #VirgilVillageEats #JapaneseEats
