LA’s Iconic First-Date Bar: Death & Co. 🍸✨

📍 Death & Co. – The famed New York bar (ranked among North America’s 50 Best) now in DTLA’s Arts District, tucked away in a moody basement space. A host guides you down at the entrance. We had reservations and were seated in the dim, intimate main room—perfect for girls’ nights or cozy dates. Walk-ins may wait in the front room (where there’s a $6 photo booth with color/B&W options). 🍹 Drinks Tasted: Sundream – Light, playful, with yuzu, lemon, and a hint of pandan. Refreshing and a great opener. Flying Nimbus – Rich, creamy coconut with black sesame dusted on the ice. Aromatic and smooth. Pineapple Express (Zero-Proof) – Fruity, bright, with cold brew clarity—perfect for those skipping alcohol. 🍗 Bar Bites: Buttermilk Fried Chicken – Crispy, saucy, and seriously addictive. Black Cod Skewers – Tender, lightly spicy, and fragrant. 📸 The lighting is ultra-low (night mode photos still come out moody). On the way out, we tried the photo booth—fun surprise results! The server mentioned the seasonal menu changes next week (fall/winter incoming), so we’ll definitely be back. Whether you're here for craft cocktails, a romantic vibe, or just a great night out, Death & Co. delivers. #DeathAndCo #LosAngeles #DTLA #CocktailBar #DateNight #GirlsNight #SpeakeasyVibes #NorthAmerica50Best #ArtsDistrict #CraftCocktails #MoodLighting #MustVisit #LANightlife #DrinkUp
