LA’s Shunde-style "Mixed Chicken"
Finally tried the much-hyped Shunde-style "Lao Ji" (Mixed Chicken) in LA — and wow, it did not disappoint! Their new location (after moving) has a nicer, upgraded vibe too. Next time, I’m coming back for their Chaoshan hot pot or congee hot pot! 🍲✨ 🍗 Shunde Mixed Chicken So tender, so flavorful! It looks light, but it’s packed with subtle seasoning. The chilled preparation is absolutely perfect for hot LA days. 😋❄️ 🍖 Rongbian Pork Ribs Savory, rich, and deeply satisfying — especially with rice! The fermented black bean flavor stands out beautifully. 🐟 Steamed Fish with Black Bean Sauce The black bean sauce fully infuses the fish — every bite is aromatic and irresistible! 🍮 Double-Layer Milk Pudding Creamy and milky 🥛 — though the red bean version was a bit too sweet for me. Go for the original if you prefer less sweetness! I’d always heard amazing things about Shunde cuisine — and now I’m totally inspired to visit Shunde someday and eat my way through the city! 🧳✈️ Follow for more hidden gems & travel guides! 🏠 Sunjow Cafe 📍 18009 Gale Ave, City of Industry, CA 91748 #ShundeCuisine #LAEats #ChineseFood #MixedChicken #ComfortFood #FoodReview
