LA’s Top Fish Roe Soup — Any Fellow Lovers Out There? 🍲
I absolutely adore fish roe soup, but it’s surprisingly hard to find in LA’s Korean dining scene. Most places serve small portions with little roe — and still charge a pretty penny. 😒 But today’s find totally blew me away! For $22.99, the bowl was packed with roe — enough for two to share — and the broth was rich, savory, and completely free of any fishy taste. 🐟✨ The flavor might take a little getting used to at first, but once you love it, it’s like durian — totally addictive! 🤤❤️ Beyond the roe soup, the baby octopus bibimbap was another standout. Served in a hot stone bowl with perilla leaves, roasted seaweed, chewy octopus, and crispy rice at the bottom, it had that wonderful toasted aroma and satisfying texture — like the perfect fried rice you crave at the end of a Korean meal. 🥢🍚 For meat lovers, I highly recommend their spicy braised pork ribs. Tender, fall-off-the-bone meat in a classic sweet-spicy Korean sauce. Compared to beef ribs, I found the pork less heavy and more flavorful. 🥩🔥 If you prefer fish, their grilled fish is also excellent — crispy skin with tender, juicy flesh inside. The restaurant is called Mindeulle, located in Chino Hills. The manager mentioned their soy sauce marinated crab is great too — though I was too full from all the seafood to try it this time! 🦀 They also offer bossam, Korean hot pots, and a variety of classic homestyle dishes. Whether you’re a roe enthusiast or just looking for hearty, authentic Korean food in the eastern LA area, this spot is a true hidden gem. Don’t forget to bring a friend — everything here is perfect for sharing! 👫💛 #LAEats #LosAngelesFood #KoreanFoodLA #ChinoHills #HiddenGem #SeafoodLovers #ComfortFood #FoodShare #LAFoodGuide #EastLAEats
