LA’s West Side—Fish Lovers, Check Out Hop Woo! 🐟🔥

After a sound event at Sony Studio, my friend recommended Hop Woo, a Chinese spot near UCLA—and wow, it was amazing!!! Definitely going back soon! 🥢💥 Here’s what we ordered: 🐟 Braised Fish with Chili Bean Sauce After four years in LA, I finally had properly cooked fish here 😭🎉! So memorable and seriously delicious—this will be my go-to spot for fish cravings from now on! 😍 🥦 Dry Pot Cauliflower Absolutely addictive!!! Couldn’t stop eating it 😋. As a cauliflower lover, I’d rank this among the best dry pot cauliflower dishes in LA—highly recommend! 🙌 👅 Dry Pot Pork Intestine My friend @玺 strongly recommended this, but it wasn’t as good as the last time she had it. She described it as crispy and perfectly fried—sounded so good I’m already craving it 😩! Hoping the quality is more consistent next time. 🐸 Dry Pot Frog Legs More frog—yay, I love frog legs! 🐸❤️ Here, they’re lightly fried and tasty, but I’m still searching for that perfect crispy dry pot frog like I once had at Lady Yan. If you know where to find it now, PLEASE tell me—I’m desperate! 🥺 ⚠️ Heads-up: The dry pot cauliflower and pork intestine came out super fast—my friend suspects they might be pre-made. Just a little warning for those who want to try! 😉 Have you been to Hop Woo? What’s your favorite Chinese dish on the West Side?
