LA|A Hidden Gem Known Mainly Among Koreans 🍢🌙
Lately, I’ve been totally obsessed with Korean late-night eats 😄! A Korean colleague highly recommended this cozy izakaya-style spot, and wow—every dish was thoughtfully prepared and delicious. We tried their surprisingly tasty pancake platter and odeng (fish cake soup), which are super highly rated! Plus, it’s one of the few places in Ktown open until late! 🕛 【Assorted Savory Pancakes 🥟】 This pancake platter was a real surprise! Unlike the usual large flat pancakes, this came with a variety of mini fried delights: meat-stuffed peppers, tofu meatballs, grilled king oyster mushrooms, squash slices, shiitake, and even traditional Korean holiday-style skewered pancakes. Each bite offered a different texture~ Served with a special soy-based dipping sauce—it felt like enjoying a “Korean-style assorted tempura”! 【Bossam – Korean Pork Wraps 🥬】 Served with pickled radish, fresh cabbage leaves, scallion salad, and dipping sauce~ The pork belly was sliced just right—not too thick, not too thin—and you can wrap it yourself. The meat was tender and juicy, absolutely perfect with soju! The portion was generous too. 【Creamy Tteokbokki 🧀🍚】 Creamy tteokbokki is a whole different world from the classic spicy version! This one is rich, savory, and has a slightly Western twist. The cream sauce is thick and comforting, the rice cakes are chewy and soaked in flavor, and it’s topped with bacon and greens—plus that egg in the middle was a total game-changer! ~ 【Fish Cake Soup | Korean Oden 🍥】 We got the small size, but the large pot looks just like a convenience store oden pot—so authentic! 🍢 The broth was incredibly delicious~ There were various types of fish cakes: strips, slices, and balls~ Plus some veggies and radish inside. The radish made the broth extra sweet and flavorful with a hint of pepper—I finished one bowl and immediately wanted another! The large size has even more variety!! Overall, every dish was made with care and had a real homemade feel. The atmosphere was warm and welcoming—perfect for dinner or a late-night snack. They even offer a 15% discount on weekdays from 5-8 PM! Oh, and after your meal, you can pick an ice cream to enjoy while strolling home~ 🍦😂 Butnal 📍 954 S Norton Ave, Los Angeles, CA 90019 #100RestaurantChallenge #LALife #LosAngeles #LAEats #HiddenMenu #FoodExploration #IzakayaFood #KoreanFood #LateNightEats #ComfortFood #KtownEats #FoodieFind #MustTry
