LA|AYCE BBQ|Chubby Cattle 🐮
Chubby Cattle — high-value wagyu AYCE Korean BBQ. Yep, I’ve pretty much tried this chain’s wagyu AYCE from coast to coast — truly a carnivore’s dream. Eating out with a small group can be tricky — ordering à la carte often leads to waste, but not ordering enough feels lacking. Here, at this price, you don’t need to worry about “getting your money’s worth” — you’d cover the menu cost in like 10 minutes anyway... The new Rosemead location might have split the crowd a bit — waits are slightly better now, at least on weekdays.💕😊 Some appetizers and seafood are limited to one order per table — lobster is whatever, but the garlic butter version is fragrant when grilled.👌❤️ Tuna sushi — excellent (carbs are necessary for us rice lovers). Sweet shrimp — some were fresh, some less so — your call. Wagyu Box — photogenic. The beef at this marbling level, whether it’s sirloin, ribeye, or chuck, tastes similarly rich — amazing for the first few bites, then starts feeling a bit oily. That’s probably why fine dining serves tiny portions 😅. Beef tongue — highly recommended. Thick-cut, tender — they charge $30–40 for a plate of this elsewhere. Pro tip: Order stone pot bibimbap and mix grilled meat into it — sooo good. As a current NYC resident, I was persuaded to get a membership ($10 off per person). Will probably come twice a year, but probably shouldn’t have signed up… 💰 Per person: ~$120 (two tiers — menu at the end). 📍 501 W Garvey Ave #108, Monterey Park, CA 91754 #LAfood #LAexplore #LAKBBQ #Wagyu #AYCEBBQ 🥩🔥🍚
