LA|Known for Late-Night Thick Cream Coffee ☕️✨
Last weekend, my friends and I finally tried the super trendy and photogenic Cafe Upper. Overall impression: looks > taste. 😅 🌟 Matcha Einspanner Not bad—it was the least sweet of the four items we ordered. 🌟 Taro Einspanner As a taro lover, I ordered this blindly and ended up disappointed—way too sweet! Since we went at night, I asked for decaf, but the drink was overly sugary upfront and had a super bitter aftertaste. 🍠💔 🌟 Tiramisu Waffle + Vanilla Ice Cream The first bite was nice, but it quickly became too sweet. The waffle was soaked in syrup underneath the cream—got overwhelming after a few bites. 🧇🍦 🌟 Matcha Waffle + Matcha Ice Cream A bit of a letdown—the matcha flavor was weak, and it tasted like a regular waffle. Still drenched in syrup. I prefer soft waffles, but these were on the crispier side. 🍵😕 Overall, this place is worth one visit for the novelty and aesthetics—but probably not a second time. 🏠 Cafe Upper 📍 300 S Hobart Blvd #101, Los Angeles, CA 90020 Have you tried a café that looked amazing but didn’t quite hit the mark flavor-wise?
