LA|My Go-To Comfort Food for 3 Years: Clear Broth Beef Hot Pot 🍲❤️
📍 Tensho 📍 418 E 2nd St, Los Angeles, CA 90012 🍴 This restaurant in Little Tokyo is probably the place I’ve revisited the most since moving to LA three years ago. I’ve brought every close friend and every date here—haha! 😄 It truly lives up to the title of “my favorite”—it’s real comfort food. Last week, I met up with my sister who just moved from New York, and I thought of this place again. Even though I now live in Irvine, whenever I’m in LA and not focused on taking photos, I still choose to eat here. 🥢 🧾 Ordering Guide: If you’re dining with two girls, I recommend choosing the USDA Prime Beef (if you prefer richer fat, go for the Deluxe A5 Wagyu), and tell the server you want the Shared Course. That way, you’ll each get a full set meal! 🍽️ Both will receive three appetizers, followed by the beef shabu-shabu—one plate of meat is plenty for two! At the end, the chef will ask if you want porridge or noodles with the broth—you MUST choose the porridge! 🍚 They’ll add egg and seasoning—so soothing and satisfying, just like the miso soup at the end of an omakase meal. 🍨 All the desserts are delicious, but after trying everything, I always go back to the banana pie with ice cream 🍌🥧—it’s so good it could be sold in a dessert shop! Trust me, after this meal, you’ll feel like you’ve had a complete and comforting dining experience. 🤫 If you’re dining with guys, you can add an extra order of meat (pro tip: you can even order a half portion!). 💖 This is truly one of my hidden gem spots in Los Angeles. So glad to finally share it with you all! ❤️ #LAWeekends #LALife #LAFood #LARestaurants #LAJapaneseFood #LADining #LATravel #LAMustEat #LAStudyAbroad #LAEatsAndFun #ComfortFood #ShabuShabu #LittleTokyo #HiddenGem #CozyVibes #DateNightSpot #FoodieFavorite
