The ultra-atmospheric Danbi is tucked inside Chapman Plaza in Ktown! 🍸 Sesame Street & Luv U So Matcha are highly recommended — Sesame lovers can’t resist anything with black sesame, and the matcha drink is fresh and balances the alcohol’s bitterness. Sweet Rain is also nice but slightly less standout compared to the first two. 🐚 Scallop Pancake was a pleasant surprise — a scallop version of seafood pancake. Crispy thin crust packed with tender scallops — fragrant, crispy, and tender right off the griddle. One of their bigger portions too. 🍙 Uni Bibimbap — gorgeous-looking rice bowl! Sweet uni and shrimp paired with sesame-oil-seasoned seaweed and kimchi — so well-matched. As a chirashi lover, I couldn’t resist. For non-raw eaters, try the Mushroom Bibimbap — sauce is perfectly balanced. 🥩 For beef, we tried the Tartare and Zubuton (beef tatare with bone marrow + sizzling iron plate beef). The raw beef with rich bone marrow was absolutely fragrant! Zubuton is their priciest dish but generous in portion — two rows of sizzling beef in a sweet-savory Korean BBQ-style glaze. Great with rice, though I found it a bit sweet for my taste. 🐷 Sliced Pork Jowl — thinly sliced boiled pork belly. Can be a bit rich on its own, but perfect when wrapped with kimchi and rice — meaty and satisfying. Overall, great for friends who aren’t into heavy Western food or for a cozy date night.
