LA|Try This Adorable & Delicious Modern Yakitori Izakaya! 🏮
A few months ago, during Dine LA week, I tried their multi-course menu — regular dishes but portions were adjusted for the event. Located in the plaza next to Bottega Louie in DTLA. So good I almost fainted — will definitely be back! It strikes a perfect balance between modern Japanese cuisine and classic yakitori. Not sure if it’s a yakitori spot or a wine bar… let’s call it an izakaya since the menu is broad, drinks are plentiful (including cocktails), and the vibe is cozy. 🍣 Avocado Tuna Toast Solid — refreshing cucumber slices, tangy-sweet, toast was delicious and buttery. 🐙 Squid Ink Karaage Super dark but no weird flavor — paired with lemon and rich dipping sauce, not greasy at all. Feels like it’s coated in crushed potato chips — totally addictive! 🐥 Chicken Meatball Skewer Sweet, savory, absolutely amazing — lingers in your memory. 🥓 Pork Belly Skewer Couldn’t stop thinking about it for days — perfectly fatty, not greasy, crispy outside, tender inside, so juicy — my true love. 🍄 Mushroom Party Skewer A mix of mushrooms — each one bursting with juice. 🍙 Yaki Onigiri So good, so crispy — the perfect carb after all that meat, pure happiness. 🍹 Forgot the drink name but it was tangy and paired perfectly with the skewers. Next time I’ll try all the other recommended dishes! Great for dates or drinks — servers were cute and attentive, and the interior is filled with lovely Japanese touches. 🔍 HATCH 💵 ~$75 per person (with drinks & sparkling water) 📍 700 W 7th St Unit G600, Los Angeles, CA 90017 (bottom level of the plaza, across from the udon spot) 🅿️ Find affordable parking nearby — don’t be like me, paid $42 for 2 hours 😭 🔴 Reserve via OpenTable #LAEats #Izakaya #LAWeekend #FoodReview #HotMeals 🏮
