I’ve seen this spot pop up a few times—it’s definitely one of Irvine’s best Japanese restaurants when it comes to balancing quality and value! My friend and I decided to treat ourselves on a weekday—especially since they’re celebrating their 15th anniversary with a special deal: $130 for 13 courses (including dessert and a drink)! I’m here to try their omakase on your behalf~ 🥢 【Oyster with Vinegar Jelly + Salmon Roe & Botan Shrimp with Yuzu Ponzu】 Super refreshing and appetizing! The vinegar jelly and popping roe were amazing, and the sweetness of the shrimp really stood out! 🍤💦 【Sashimi Platter】 Included black sea bream, bluefin tuna, salmon, and yangmei (bayberry)! The fish was incredibly fresh, with a perfect balance of richness and flavor. 🐟❤️ 【Uni, Caviar & Otoro + Monkfish Liver with Scallop】 A luxurious bite!! It was my first time trying such a small yet fragrant Japanese peach~ The scallop and liver offered a delicate, sweet contrast. 🍑🌊 【A5 Wagyu Shiso Tempura + Crab Leg】 Smart move using shiso to cut through the wagyu’s richness. The crab leg was crispy, and the sauce complemented it perfectly. 🍂🦀 【Yuzu Miso Black Cod】 I was most excited for this—everyone raves about their black cod. The meat was tender, juicy, and flaky! 🐠🔥 【Black Cod & Seafood Earthenware Stew】 A clear dashi broth with cod, shrimp, and scallop—so umami!
