LA|Yakitori Spot with Chicken Sashimi — Torimatsu 🐔🍣
This yakitori place has been on my list forever, and today I finally tried it! The skewers were super delicious, but the restaurant is tiny — get there early or be prepared to wait. Most customers were Japanese, and the servers’ English was pretty limited, so be ready for some fun communication moments 😄 Specialty Dish: 🐔 Chicken Sashimi! This one’s love-it-or-hate-it. If you’re okay with raw meat, you’ll adore it! The chicken was tender, lightly seared on the surface, and served with tangy yuzu ponzu — so good. They have other raw chicken preparations too, but I didn’t try them this time (was a bit cautious). Next visit for sure! 🍢 Chicken & Scallion Skewers Available in salt-grilled or sauce-grilled. The sauce version is brushed with soy sauce from a big pot before grilling. I personally preferred the salt-grilled — it really lets the natural flavors shine. All the other skewers were delicious too — no disappointments! Feel free to order freely. #LALife #CaliforniaLiving #Yakitori #LifeInTheUSA #USA #LAWeekend #FoodReview
