LA's Authentic Korean Spot 🇰🇷 | Jang Tuh Bossam

Want to share a truly authentic local Korean restaurant right near my place – Jang Tuh Bossam! 🥢 This place has been recommended by so many of my Korean friends, and they all swear by its authenticity. I finally got to try it after work, and wow, I was genuinely blown away! 🥹 It's a well-established, classic Korean spot with a clean, cozy, and comfortable atmosphere. It gives off those warm, homely Korean vibes, perfect for a gathering with friends or a casual after-work meal and drinks. 🍶 Here’s what we tried: 🥬 Assorted Combination Set (Bossam Platter) The moment this arrived, my jaw dropped! 😲 A massive platter, bigger than my face, loaded with different kinds of pork – including pork belly, pork trotters, pork tongue, and blood sausage. Each slice was generously thick! The pork belly was perfectly balanced between lean and fat, incredibly tender. Wrapping it in fresh lettuce with kimchi, spicy radish, and a dab of sauce, then taking that one big bite… pure bliss! 🤤 The pork trotters were soft, gelatinous, and chewy, so flavorful without being greasy. Paired with the soft, savory blood sausage, the whole platter was a masterpiece of textures and meaty goodness. 🍲 Budae Jjigae (Army Stew) This stew is the ultimate comfort food! 💨 A hot, steaming pot, perfect for the current weather. It's the classic Korean army stew, packed with ingredients like sausages, rice cakes, instant noodles, tofu, and cheese 🧀. Each spoonful feels like a warm hug, absolutely saving the day! 🥹 The noodles were cooked just right, soaking up all the delicious broth – so hearty and satisfying. 🥩 Korean Beef BBQ This dish came with such a fun, dramatic presentation! It was flambéed right at our table with a real flame! 🔥 The moment the fire hit, the most incredible aroma of beef filled the air. The outside was slightly charred, while the inside remained super tender and juicy. The sweet and savory glaze was perfect with a bowl of steamed rice. So good! Fair warning though – the portions here are HUGE! We honestly couldn't finish everything… 😂 The flavors are authentic, not overly greasy, and they give you plenty of fresh lettuce wraps too. 🥬 Plus, there's free parking! 🚗 Highly recommended for anyone who loves or wants to try genuine, local-style Korean food! 🌟 Want to discover more about the best food spots and fun things to do in and around LA?
