LA's Little Tokyo MVP 🏆 | Izakaya Gazen – My Go-To Japanese Spot!
Whenever I’m craving reliable, delicious Japanese food in LA, I find myself returning to Izakaya Gazen — my personal favorite in Little Tokyo! 🎌 It’s the kind of place that never disappoints, whether you're dining solo or with friends. Here’s what keeps me coming back: 🍜 Wagyu & Egg Noodles ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ A must-order — seriously, there’s no substitute for this dish in all of LA! The savory, slightly sweet sauce and toppings remind me of takoyaki flavor, but paired with silky egg and tender Wagyu beef noodles, it’s next-level delicious. 🤤 🍲 Sukiyaki ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ A solid, well-priced sukiyaki with around five pieces of Kobe-style beef. Comforting and classic — always satisfying. 🐟 Sashimi Platter ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️🌟 While the otoro (fatty tuna) was a bit underwhelming — slightly chewy and less vibrant than expected — the other fish were fresh and flavorful. 🍚 Sashimi Donburi ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️🌟 A generous bowl loaded with a colorful variety of sashimi over sushi rice. Beautiful, fresh, and deeply satisfying. 📍 Izakaya Gazen 362 1st St, Los Angeles, CA 90012 Cozy, authentic, and consistently good — Izakaya Gazen is a Little Tokyo treasure. Perfect for a casual dinner, late-night bites, or whenever you need a reliable Japanese fix! 🥢 #LAEats #LittleTokyo #IzakayaGazen #JapaneseFood #GoToSpot #LAFoodGuide #ComfortBowl #SashimiLovers
