LA's Newest Hotspot Cafe ~ Super Photogenic Cafe 2001 🤎

Hey everyone! Just discovered this absolutely Instagram-worthy new cafe in town – Cafe 2001! 🤩 It's located right next to Afuri, near the Art District and ROW DTLA, making it a perfect stop for a full day of exploring! 🎨✨ Overall, the vibe here is fantastic – great music, cool architecture, and while seating is limited, the turnover is pretty quick! The drinks were decent, but the real stars are the creative food presentations and the truly impressive desserts! 🍰👌 — Hojicha | ⭐️⭐️⭐️ You can watch them hand-brew the matcha and hojicha with traditional tools. Nothing extraordinary, but definitely solid! Drip Coffee (IFNi Blend) | ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ These Japanese coffee beans – my friend found them a bit bitter, but I thought they were pretty smooth. Maybe somewhere in between? 😉 Benedictine Bacon Sandwich | ⭐️⭐️⭐️✨ It's a hollandaise sauce with a BLT sandwich (don’t get tricked into thinking it’s Eggs Benedict like we did! 🤣). The sour cream was the perfect touch – not too oily, and my friend loved it! Smoked Trout + Hash Browns + Huckleberries | ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✨ Smoked trout on a hash brown patty, served with sour cream, raw onions, huckleberry jam, and rosemary. The hash brown is like a thick pancake – a tad greasy but great with the trout. Add the sides, and it reaches a whole new level! 🐟🍯 Lemon Tart | ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Not super sour – both the tartness and sweetness stand out distinctly. They’re not fully blended, but balanced beautifully! The staff torches it right at your table – giving it a crème brûlée vibe! The crust is subtle with no greasy taste, and the filling is fluid rather than dense. As a self-proclaimed lemon tart expert (I once had three 6-inch lemon tarts in a week! 🍋), I fully approve this one! — 🅿️ Street parking is available nearby. The cafe wasn’t too crowded when we went, but the street was pretty full. We parked about a 3-minute walk away – but it was nice strolling past cute little shops and awesome art murals! 🚶♀️🎨 What’s your favorite drink or dessert at a trendy cafe?
