Few restaurants make me feel they truly deserve to be popular—this is one of them. ❤️🔥 The vibe is dim, intimate, and perfect for a date night—tables are a bit close, so you’ll be cozy with your company. 😉 The food is refined, creative Mexican cuisine that turns familiar dishes into surprising delights. Portions are small but leave you longing for more. Their drinks are fantastic too—I usually prefer low-alcohol, not-too-sweet options, and I blindly picked two great ones here! 🍸 We had 4 drinks and 6 dishes between two people, totaling $180. A bit indulgent, but with Resy subsidies, it didn’t feel too expensive. 💸 Dish breakdown, ranked by preference: 🦐 Scallop Aguachile – Similar to ceviche but slightly spicier, with lighter fermentation that lets the scallop’s natural sweetness shine. Served in squid ink—just a heads-up for date night! 🦆 Duck Mole – Crispy-skinned duck leg with tender meat. The sauce has a hint of sweet bean paste vibe, served with corn tortillas to wrap it up. It’s like Beijing duck’s Mexican cousin! 🐦 Buttermilk Fried Quail – Super crispy but not oily, paired with a tangy sauce and onions to cut the richness. 🌮 Al Pastor Taco – The sauce and pineapple were a delightful surprise—unexpectedly delicious together! 🍄 Mushroom Taco – Very rich; the first bite is heavenly, but finishing the whole thing feels a bit heavy. 🐮 Crispy Beef Taco – The shell is crunchy, flavor is solid but not standout. 🍰 Date Cake – Not dense; very moist with a distinct date flavor—unique and memorable!
