LA / Irvine | IZAKAYA HACHI | …Just a Little Too Average? 🍶🤷♀️
Hachi is located in the same plaza as the popular Anjin, and it always seems busy—often packed, with a line out the door. So naturally, expectations were high! But honestly… it was pretty meh. 🫤 Nothing was bad, but nothing stood out either. The uni and wagyu dish was so mini it felt almost symbolic—and not in a good way. For the price, the value just isn’t there. You’d be better off booking a table at Osen instead. The only thing we truly enjoyed was the squid sashimi 🦑—but let’s be real, it’s pretty hard to mess up fresh squid, right? 😂 Overall, Hachi feels like a spot that’s riding on location and hype rather than outstanding flavor. If you're craving izakaya vibes but want memorable food, you might want to look elsewhere. This one’s a pass for me. 🚫 #IzakayaHachi #IrvineEats #LAFood #JapaneseIzakaya #HonestReview #NotWorthTheHype #SushiTime #UniFail #WagyuLetdown #FindTheGoodBites #SquidSashimi #FoodieTruth #TrySomewhereElse #EatCurious #DiningOut #SoCalFoodScene #KeepItReal #100PlacesToTry
