LA / Tustin | Chang’An | The Ambiance Alone Is Worth the Visit 🦆✨

I was actually looking for another restaurant but stumbled upon Chang’An in Irvine — and what a happy accident! I vaguely remember there used to be one in San Gabriel? Not sure if it’s the same, but this location truly impressed me. We booked a whole Peking duck ahead of time, and it came with quite the presentation — almost theatrical! 🎭 The duck itself was tasty, though the pancakes could’ve been warmer. Still, they kept things interesting by serving it three ways: crispy skin with sugar, classic style, and a smoked version. A nice, thoughtful touch! 🍯🔥 But the real stars for me were: Wild pepper stir-fried beef 🌶️🐄 — so flavorful, and cilantro lovers will adore it. Duck bone soup with wontons 🥟 — comforting, rich, and we finished every last drop. Lychee shrimp balls 🍤 — actual lychee fried with shrimp! Sweet, savory, and surprisingly refreshing. The space is elegant, spacious, and perfect for hosting or celebrating. Far from just a casual meal spot — this feels like an occasion kind of place. 🥂🏮 Will definitely be back, maybe with a bigger group to try more dishes! 📍 Address: 13051 Newport Ave, Tustin, CA 92780 #ChangAnIrvine #PekingDuck #ChineseFineDining #ElegantAmbiance #GreatForGroups #UnexpectedFind #WildPepperBeef #DuckWontonSoup #LycheeShrimp #IrvineEats #LAChineseFood #SpecialOccasionSpot #FeastMode #FoodAndAtmosphere #WorthTheDrive #DateNightIdea #BanquetStyle #ModernChinese #LAEats #EatInStyle
