LA | Alexander’s Steakhouse | Tuesday Date Night, Why Not? 🥂

A clever starter — fried potato balls, complex flavor, crispy outside but not greasy. Three kinds of bread served: Hokkaido milk bread, squid ink bread, and cheese bread. Definitely a Japanese-American fusion steakhouse vibe — setting the stage nicely for the Japanese Wagyu to come. The bone marrow butter presentation was adorable 🦴🧈 Thoughtful touches — got me excited for the mains. 🐟 Fish shot — well-paired, different from other seafood shots. 🥩 Uni Wagyu toast — SO GOOD! Uni was incredibly sweet — sweeter than some dedicated sushi spots! Grilled Wagyu wasn’t heavy, and they served it with 6 different salts to try… unforgettable. 🍥 Hokkaido scallop — decent, but the accompaniments outshone the scallop itself. 🐟 Black cod — delicious, Thai-style sauce kept it light. 🎌 Main event: Miyazaki Wagyu — just 3oz for $135, but totally worth it! Rich beefy flavor, perfect Maillard reaction, expertly grilled — pleasantly surprised! Not heavy at all. 🍖 Roasted bone marrow — sweetish, fatty but not cloying. Though the “creative” sides (Korean cauliflower, fried rice) were just okay — maybe stick to classics. Overall — way better than I expected! Their steak grilling skills are legit — you can tell there’s real technique here. #LifeAbroad #LAEats #Foodie #MyFoodTreasures #PrettyPlates #LAFoodGuide #SteakPerfection
