LA | Authentic Sichuan Pickled Fish – No Flight Needed! 🐟✨
Guess who just found out there’s a Tai Er pickled fish restaurant in the Arcadia mall—a whole year after it opened? Yep, that’s me 😂! And right now, they’re running a fun Easter egg hunt with prizes like free meals and drinks! 🐟 Classic Pickled Fish Pot The sour mustard greens (suan cai) are next-level—way beyond anything you’d find at a regular grocery store. The broth is tangy, aromatic, and soaked with tender fish (likely black cod) and silky vermicelli noodles. One bite, and I was transported back to a food court in China! 🌶️ Green Pepper Fish Pot We also tried the green peppercorn version—it tasted like a spicy Sichuan hot pot broth, with chewy sweet potato noodles and fresh cucumber. Tasty, but the classic pickled fish still won my heart. 🥩 Stir-Fried Yellow Beef with Chili Minced beef stir-fried with plenty of chopped chili and a hint of celery for fragrance. So flavorful and perfect spooned over a bowl of rice! 🥤 Coconut Water with Popping Boba & Mochi A must-order drink! It’s like the trendy Mi Nuo Nuo series but with a lighter, coconut-water base. The chewy mochi and popping boba made it so fun to sip. Also, the complimentary hibiscus tea was a lovely touch! 🎁 Easter Egg Hunt Event Look for hidden eggs in the restaurant for a chance to win: A free meal that day A free fish dish next visit Complimentary drinks, and more! If you’ve been missing real-deal Chinese pickled fish, this is your spot. No plane ticket required 😉 👩💻 By day, I’m a data scientist in tech; by night, a foodie sharing hidden gems across LA and the Bay.
