Inspired by Eater LA, I finally visited this much-talked-about spot during the holidays! The space feels like a beachside retreat in Tulum or Cabo—but with sweeping views of the Hollywood Hills. 🏝️🌆 The design is unforgettable: warm woods, natural stone, woven textures, linen drapes, and cozy mood lighting. A chill electronic soundtrack sets the vibe. Oh, and it’s a Mexican restaurant—but not your average taqueria. 🦐 Ceviche Mixto Shrimp, hamachi, striped bass, passion fruit foam, tiger’s milk, citrus, serrano chili, cilantro, plantain chips. A perfect starter—bright, tangy, fresh, with a fun foamy texture! 🧀 Black Truffle Burrata Fresh black truffle, honeycomb, cilantro-garlic handmade tortillas. Almost too pretty to eat! Half burrata, half whole honeycomb—luxurious and delicious. We ordered extra tortillas (yes, they’re $5 more but totally worth it). 🥗 Yucatán-Inspired Salad Romaine, white beans, sweet corn, Jerusalem artichoke, cherry tomatoes, queso fresco, crispy tortilla strips, spicy shallot vinaigrette. A surprise favorite—loaded with texture and flavor. Hearty yet refreshing. 🥩 Prime Black Angus Filet Herb chimichurri, avocado crema, pickled onions. Tender, cooked just right—and the sauces give it a delicious Latin twist. 🍄 Mushroom “Carnitas” King oyster mushrooms, cumin, chili, citrus. Smoky, charred, and spicy—it really captures the spirit of Mexican street food. 🌮 Crispy Tiger Shrimp Tacos Avocado-tomatillo salsa, jalapeño purple cabbage. Light, crispy, and photogenic—shrimp tacos done right. 🍹 Cocktails & Zero-Proof Zen & Tonic: Cactus fruit gin, hibiscus, orange blossom, lime—pretty in pink, floral and bright. Tropical Illusion: Passion fruit, orange, guava—a vacation in a glass, non-alcoholic and refreshing. 📍 Casa Madera 8440 Sunset Blvd, West Hollywood Heads up: Valet isn’t cheap.
