LA | Cara Hotel — Paying for the Ambience, Not the Food 😅

Cara is definitely a super popular restaurant in LA — highly recommended in many posts. This time, we came just for the meal (had plans later, so didn’t dress up for photos). Turns out that was the right call.👍😂 Since it was still cool outside, there were lots of heaters around — which made the vibe feel a bit cluttered. Plus, dinner was packed. For photo lovers, I’d suggest coming earlier during the day!👌😊 Dinner cost around $100 per person. Now… about the food. Honestly, it’s hard to praise. Given the bad reviews, we played it safe and ordered basic dishes. But… well, no “buts” — it just wasn’t good. The grilled prawns were somewhat edible. We got an 8+1 gin & tonic; my friend’s recommended cocktail was pretty bad 🥲 Anyway — fine for chatting on a date and soaking in the vibe, but that’s about it. As the sky darkened, the whole hotel glowed in this soft pink light… very dreamy and romantic, I’ll give it that.❤️👍 #RestaurantRecommends #VibeDining #WesternCuisine #Getaway #Cuisine #MichelinRestaurant
