LA | Chef Tony | Black Truffle Chicken — So Fragrant! 🍗🍄
As a Cantonese native, I’ve often felt LA dim sum doesn’t quite hit the mark — it’s just not as competitive or refined as back home. After spending years in Guangzhou, I avoided dim sum here for over a year… until now. Heard Chef Tony offers a fresher, modern take, so we visited the Monterey Park location. The space feels new and clean — a welcome departure from the old-school “Chinatown” vibe. 🏙️ Highlights: Shrimp stuffed in fried dough sticks — tasty! Black truffle shredded chicken — aromatic and delicious. Bitter melon shrimp rice rolls — unexpectedly refreshing and creative.💕 Dry-fried beef noodles — just okay, not amazing. This meal actually restored some of my faith in LA dim sum. We arrived around 11:30 AM on a Saturday — busy but not overwhelmingly crowded. #FYP #LifeAbroad #LAFoodGuide #DimSum #CantoneseDimSum #CantoneseCuisine #FoodReview #FoodDiary #LACantoneseFood #ShrimpDumplings #MyFoodFavorites #GroupDining #WeekendEats #GatheringSpot #CaliforniaLiving #SoCalLife #LACantoneseEats 🥢✨
