Tucked away in West LA, this unassuming spot is a true hidden gem—don’t let the simple facade fool you. It’s popular for a reason! 🦪 Uni & Ikura Oysters The oysters were impressively large and incredibly fresh. Topped with creamy uni and bursting ikura, each bite was an explosion of oceanic flavor. An absolute must-order! 🍗 Grilled Beef Tongue Skewers Some of the best I’ve ever had—anywhere. The texture was remarkably tender and springy, grilled to perfection. A standout even among izakaya favorites. 🍖 Crunchy Cartilage Skewers Another winner! Charred, crispy, and packed with savory flavor. Between these and the beef tongue, I could’ve skipped the other skewers (though the chicken thigh and beef were just okay). 🍘 Fried Mochi with Nori & Shoyu A surprising and delightful dish! The mochi was crispy on the outside, soft and chewy inside, and the drizzle of shoyu with shredded nori made it irresistibly savory. Highly recommend! 🫕 Snow Crab Ochazuke A warm, comforting tea-based rice soup. Mild in crab flavor but soothing—a nice option if you want something light, though not essential. 🍣 Salmon & Ikura Skewer A generous piece of grilled salmon topped with a mountain of ikura and grated daikon. A unique and satisfying combination! 🍮 Brown Sugar Pudding Made with Okinawan black sugar—less sweet, with a rich, nostalgic flavor. The creamy custard, caramelized top, and a dusting of soybean powder made it a perfect ending.
